This 2,300 sq. ft. handcrafted home was designed and built to fit quietly into the environment, offering a rare opportunity for those who appreciate nature, world-class design, exquisite craftsmanship, solitude and something really unique. It is a structure that melts into the landscape, Mother Nature has certainly influenced the interior design and wow, she has spectacular style!

THE DETAILS

Surrounded by juniper, bitter brush and sage, the house is designed no higher than the vegetation encircling it. Board formed concrete walls – colored to match the land – present a camouflaged, solid face to the desert entry. The east face, in contrast, features floor-to-ceiling glass and opens to the rim of a massive basalt canyon and distant mountain views. Three living areas inhabit the concrete spine. The living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry comprise the center section. Down long hallways in either direction are the master bedroom and bath and a guest room, guest bath and gym/office. Two bluestone terraces offer canyon views and infinite opportunities for lounging, dining and entertaining.
